There is a nomination fee of $60 per vehicle which must be received before your nomination will be accepted. If you have multiple vehicles you must nominate them separately on separate nomination forms.

Lismore Speedway reserves the right to accept or reject any nomination.

ALL DRIVERS must have current NASR insurance that covers them whilst on the track. 
If required we can supply a one meeting licence for a fee of $30. 
Please note: all second drivers are also required to have NASR insurance.

SCRUTINEERING:  ALL DEMONSTRATING CARS WILL BE REQUIRED FOR SCRUTINEERING ON RACE DAY.  

Code Of Conduct for demonstrating competitors:

  • RACING IS NOT PERMITTED! Safety must be of prime concern to all

  • During demonstrations drivers/riders must not allow enthusiasm to jeopardise safety of other riders/drivers

  • Slower vehicles must remain on pole line where possible, faster vehicles to pass on the outside where there is sufficient room. A blue flag will be displayed to inform slower demonstrators that a faster car is attempting to pass. NO PARTICIPANT IS TO AGGRESSIVELY FORCE THEIR WAY THOUGH THE FIELD. This will result in exclusion form the run.

  • Any drivers/riders deliberately bumping other cars, or otherwise acting in an aggressive manner will be cautioned by the Chief Steward. Failure to adjust behaviour will result in vehicle being exclude for the run/s.

  • Prior to any demonstrations all drivers will attend a drivers briefing, where the chief steward will comment on driving conduct, procedures and regulations. 

  • Track behaviour/speed/driving tactics will be at all times be by the control of the chief steward.

Minimum Safety Apparel 

  • It is the sole responsibility of the participant to select a helmet and clothing apparel which provides adequate protection. Any standards or approvals mentioned are minimum only. All safety equipment will be maintained in good order. Helmets & Clothing will be checked at the event.

  • Helmets will meet the minimum Australian design standard of 1698 or equivalent. 

  • Eye protection of a flexible and non-splinter-able material must be used. Prescription spectacles are not accepted as eye protection.

  • Gloves must be worn by all participants and must be leather or approved flame retardant material (cars only), with overlapping sleeves.

  • Clothing Bikes - Approved leathers or equivalent must be worn by riders & passengers. Where jackets and breeches are worn, provision must be made for the jacket to be securely attached to  the trousers. The use of an approved back protector is mandatory. Both riders and passengers must wear footwear of leather or equivalent substitute and must be calf length. Boots & trousers must overlap.

  • Clothing Cars - Minimum requirements are cotton overalls AND approved flameproof underwear. Under no circumstances will civilian clothing to be allowed under driving suits. An approved flameproof balaclava must be worn. If an open face helmet is used, a leather (or simular material) mask is mandatory to protect the face. Flame retardant boots and woollen or cotton socks must be worn. Boots, gloves and balaclavas must overlap driving suits.
