Lismore Sprintcar Gold Cup Rescheduled To June 13

Lismore Speedway promoter Dave Lander has set Sunday, June 13 as the date for the running of the re-scheduled Sprintcar Gold Cup.

The event, originally set down for Saturday, March 6, fell victim to inclement weather which swept through the Northern Rivers (NSW) region earlier in the week.

With three consecutive days of rain, the grounds at the Lismore venue were saturated, affecting pit and spectator areas.

After an early morning track inspection on Friday, March 5 Lander immediately made the decision to postpone the $5000-to-win Gold Cup race, carrying overall total prizemoney of $20,000, until June.

Lander's next scheduled fixture at the booming Lismore venue is Saturday, March 20 with the NSW V8 Dirt Modified Championship the major attraction.
