Castrol Lismore Speedway will host a $10,000-to-win Modified Sedan feature race as part of the January 2024 high time fixture schedule. The event is set to be decided on the track’s ‘Hot Wheels’ night, January 13.
Promoters Kim and Mick Sauer, winners of the Speedway Australia “Most Improved Track” award at the recent glittering black tie dinner in Melbourne, are on a mission to lift the profile of the Modified Sedans at their venue.
South Lismore’s Clements Haulage has come on-board as naming right’s sponsor for the event.
Announcing details recently, Kim Sauer said there also will be a $5,000 jackpot bonus given to a driver, selected from a random draw, who finishes the main event.
“We want the Modified Sedans to progress at our track and we also feel the announcement of this race represents a big part of their re-branding process. We also want the number of entries to not only make this a very worthy event but a race that we can look to running well into the future.”
Drivers can nominate for the event now directly to the Lismore Speedway office.
