Money will be falling out of the trees for Wingless Sprint drivers when they contest the Chilli Nationals twilight super show at Castrol Lismore Speedway June 8 – 9.
The Northern Rivers Wingless organisation has worked long and hard to ensure the upcoming King’s Birthday long weekend will be two days of racing not to be missed with some very good prize money to be won.
There’s plenty of incentives for Wingless drivers to contest the Chilli Nationals, culminating with a 50-lap main event Sunday, June 9.
The prize pool currently sits at $5,500, plus the usual appearance money the Wingless receive for their Lismore appearances.
The Saturday and Sunday afternoon/early evening spectacular rounds out the 2023-24 racing season at the Lismore Showground circuit under the promotional control of Mick and Kim Sauer.
“We wanted to go out with a big show and the Wingless division have been working with us and helping us put this event together. There will be plenty of good prize money distributed through the Wingless ranks over the two days,” Kim Sauer said. It’s the culmination of another strong season for the northern New South Wales Wingless contingent.
“With payouts on Odds and Evens finals, also $50 for each heat winner, fifty dollars each going to the top four B-Main finishers, there are other bonuses as well,” a Northern Rivers Wingless spokesperson said. “Also, to qualify for the final on the second and deciding show, the payout will be right down the line – even if you finish broken down on the infield with car problems, you’ll get something, there’s money grabs everywhere. There’s even a Bounty Hunter payout for drivers starting outside the top ten, while the highest placed finisher in top ten who started outside of the top ten, will take home some dosh.”
The Northern Rivers Wingless extend a warm invitation to drivers from close and far to come to the City of Lismore and race, also to be a part of the big party in the pits after the show each day.
Nominations are still open but close soon.
Wingless Sprints will be supported with racing for AMCA Nationals, Production Sedans, RSA Sedans and Legend Cars on both days.
