CASTROL Lismore Speedway promoters Kim and Mick Sauer have put the winter recess to good use in preparation for the 2024-2025 season with track sponsorships locked in and finalised for six divisions.
The total minimum prize pool on offer is $26,000 covering racing for AMCA Nationals, RSA Sedans, Junior Sedans, V8 Dirt Modifieds, Production Sedans and Wingless Sprints. It’s a very impressive schedule that, for five of the six categories, commences with the opening meeting of the season on November 2. The only class that starts its rounds on the November 16 second night of the new season are the Production Sedans.
“We could not have made this happen without the generous support and backing from a number of companies in the area,” Kim Sauer said.
“They have been great to work with in planning and scheduling. We thank these organisations sincerely for their much appreciated involvement.”
The line-up of Track Championship corporate partners for the upcoming racing campaign are:
Coolamon Quarries Pty Ltd (AMCA Nationals); Lawrence & Hanson Electrical Lismore (RSA Sedans), Slideways (Junior Sedans), Northern Rivers Used Cars and Casino Car and Ute Hire (V8 Dirt Modifieds), TRJ Constructions (Production Sedans) and Cutting Edge Mowers (Wingless Sprints).
Appearance and feature race points are incorporated into the track championship, along with additional prizemoney incentives, while the top 20 placed drivers will take a percentage of the overall prize purse distributed at the 2024-2025 season Castrol Lismore Speedway presentation night, June 21, 2025.
Another impressive factor surrounding the Track Championship is a $500 endorsement for each round if twenty-plus cars take the green flag. This is applicable to all but the Junior Sedan class in which the top three in their final title standings will receive a junior training package with prizes valued totalling $3,000. These honours will also be presented at the Castrol Lismore Speedway end-of-season awards. Points will be accumulated over seven rounds with the tournament grand final set for May 3, 2025.
The AMCA Nationals will chase a minimum $5,000 prizemoney pool over six rounds culminating on May 3. RSA Sedans have a $3,000 minimum on offer over six rounds, concluding at the 2025 Easter weekend fixture. V8 Dirt Modifieds have a $7,000 (at minimum) track title to contest over six rounds, Productions Sedans will compete for a minimum $3,000 title covering six rounds, while Wingless Sprints will chase at least $5,000 for their 2024-2025 season Track Championship taking in seven rounds.
