Castrol Lismore Speedway promoters Kim and Mick Sauer have put the off-season to good use and have secured track championship sponsors for seven of their regular race divisions.

There are also plenty of initiatives for each section to nominate with a big car count after the live- wire promotional team announced their further support by adding $500 to the prize pool for each meeting in which twenty or more cars enter for the respective section.

The categories accorded corporate backing for the upcoming 2023-24 season are: V8 Dirt Modifieds, AMCA Nationals, RSA Sedans, Wingless Sprints, Production Sedans, Junior Sedans and Junior Formula 500s.

The sponsors who have come on board will make this one of the most attractive seasons in many years at the historic Lismore Speedway.

“We not only want to support all of our classes, but the classes that already have secured track championship sponsors for next season will now have even more incentive to chase their respective track title,” Kim Sauer said.

“We want to thank Northern Rivers Used Cars, Coolamon Quarries, Lawrence & Hanson Lismore, Grounded Masonry Projects, Halls Bus Company, Slideways Karting and TRJ Constructions for their involvement and sponsorship.”

Northern Rivers Used Cars are the chief sponsor of the 2023-24 Lismore season V8 Dirt Modified Championship with a $7,000 prize pool. The AMCA Nationals have a $5,000 prize pool courtesy of Coolamon Quarries. Lawrence & Hanson Lismore (RSA Sedans), Grounded Masonry Projects (Wingless Sprints), Halls Bus Company (Production Sedans) are each putting up $3,000 for this season’s title.

Slideways Karting have got behind the development of the sport’s next generation of track stars by backing the Junior Sedan Track Championship and TRJ Constructions are doing similar for the Junior Formula 500 division. The junior track championship winner will be awarded a ‘junior driver academy experience’ to help develop their budding career. That represents the prospect of undertaking driver training, nutrition and driver psychology.

“We are still working on this season in the countdown to the November commencement and will have further news as it comes to hand,” Kim Sauer added.
