V8 Dirt Modifieds
Evolving from the hot rods of speedway’s early days, V8 Dirt Modifieds are spectacular purpose-built machines powered by naturally aspirated cast-iron V8 engines with a maximum capacity of 361 cubic inches.
They are self-starting, run through a two-speed gearbox to a quick-change differential and use Sprintcar-sized wheels. Their speed, aggressive stance and close competition make them one of Australian speedway’s great crowd favourites.

Wingless Sprints
Wingless Sprints have grown from a small field in 2008 into a major national division with hundreds of competitors throughout Australia. The class operates under Australian Wingless Sprint Racing.
Created as a lower-cost entry point into Sprintcar racing, the cars combine a rolling Sprintcar chassis—without the front and top wings—with Holden V6 engines from VN, VP and early VR Commodores. The result is a competitive class with a strong identity of its own.

AMCA Nationals
Founded in Australia during the mid-1990s, AMCA Nationals combine an iconic Holden front end with a custom chassis powered by either a Holden 253 or Chevrolet 350 crate V8 engine.

410 Sprintcars
Combine a methanol-fuelled 410-cubic-inch aluminium engine producing more than 900 horsepower with a lightweight chrome-moly chassis and you get one of motorsport’s most spectacular machines.
The top and front wings create downforce as experienced drivers attack the circuit at phenomenal speed. With an extraordinary power-to-weight ratio and international competition, Sprintcars are one of Australian speedway’s headline attractions.

360/LS Sprintcars

Speedcars
Speedcars are compact, high-powered machines typically producing 300–400 horsepower from four-cylinder engines while weighing approximately 400 kilograms.
After beginning in America in the early 1930s, Speedcar racing arrived in Australia at Melbourne’s Olympic Park in 1934. Today it remains one of speedway’s most competitive divisions, with major events regularly attracting leading Australian, American and New Zealand drivers.

Modlites
Modlites are compact, motorcycle-powered race cars with three weight divisions—Stock, Spec and Open—based on engine configuration.
Their distinctive Classic Modified body style is inspired by American production vehicles built between 1928 and 1948, recreated at five-eighths scale as two-door sedans, coupes and pickup trucks. Small size and high-revving power make for fast, close racing.

Compact Speedcars
Compact Speedcars have been part of Australian speedway since the 1950s. Originally known as TQs—short for Three Quarter Midgets—the cars raced throughout the east coast alongside full-size Midgets.
After a period as Junior Speedcars, legendary Liverpool Speedway promoter Mike Raymond coined the modern name. Today the class predominantly combines a Speedcar-style chassis with motorcycle power, delivering an economical open-wheel category with tightly controlled competition.
