The Mr Modified Series Grand Final will be run and won at Castrol Lismore Speedway this Saturday night, March 2.

This fixture is also very important for the Racing Sedans Australia (RSA) Four Cylinder Sedan division with the New South Wales Championship up for grabs. AMCA Nationals, Wingless Sprintcars and Junior Sedans are also programmed. The Mr Modified series has long been established as one of the major V8 Dirt Modified events on the east coast. Current day promoters Mick and Kim Sauer have carried on that tradition showcasing the very popular tournament.

“It is one of the very important events on our calendar and we are so pleased to again promote the series and its Grand Final which will most definitely be keenly contested in keeping with the high standard of racing the V8 Dirt Modified always provide,” Kim Sauer said.

Not only the outcome of the Mr Modified Series is set to be written into history this weekend, but this latest chapter will certainly attain a level with some of the great events of the past. Lismore’s Mark Robinson enters the Grand Final of the Mr Modified Series as defending titleholder. Robinson clinched the series for the 2022-23 season with a third placing in the decider and he will again need a top three placing to successfully defend the crown.

“We have the heavy hitters entered for the Mr Modified Series Grand Final, so whoever does win this season’s series, will have to work very hard for the victory,” Kim Sauer added.

Last year’s Grand Final main event was won by former multi series winner Andrew Pezzutti while David Clarke was runner-up. Andrew’s son Jack is one of the V8 Dirt Modified entrants this Saturday night carrying on a wonderful family tradition.
David Clarke also is amongst the V8 Dirt Modified nominations for March 2.

The RSA Four Cylinder Sedan NSW Championship also holds considerable interest.
The entries have come from far and wide typifying the popularity of this category with a number of clubs representing tracks. It’s an excellent advertisement for the RSA Four Cylinder Sedan category. The extensive club representation also shows the well established foot print on the NSW racing scene made by this category, which largely serves as a very worthy feeder division for drivers looking to progress further in the sport. The clubs represented include Summerland Street Saloon Club, Grafton City Speedway Club, Gunnedah Speedway Club, Portland District Motorsports Club and Dubbo City Speedway Club. A number of drivers know the Lismore circuit well which makes picking a winner of the NSW Championship difficult. Drivers such as Matthew Claydon, Glenn Armstrong, Brodie King and Ryley Smith come into calculations for what promises to be an exciting event.

There are 31 Wingless Sprintcars entered featuring all the heavy hitters, 21 AMCA Nationals and 20 Junior Sedans matched with the 19 top guns in the V8 Dirt Modified division.
