The February 15 running of the Australian Speedcar Grand Prix at Castrol Lismore Speedway will pay $5,000 to win.
It’s one of the oldest Speedcar events in the world and, fittingly, the 2025 edition of “the great race” has commanded an overall prize money purse of $15,000.
For the past couple of years Lismore promoters Mick and Kim Sauer have supported the prestigious race and they are again delighted to host the AGP.
“This Speedcar race carries so much history,” Kim Sauer said.
“It has been won by some of the all time greats of the sport and we know the importance of keeping this event in the mainstream focus of people.”
The AGP was first run in 1938 and the winners’ list includes four times Indianapolis 500 winner AJ Foyt, 20 times World of Outlaws American Sprintcar Champion Steve Kinser and ten times Australian Sprintcar titleholder Garry Rush.
Sydney’s Kaidon Brown is the defending AGP Champion.
Will Kaidon defend his title in 2025?
