Big Season Ahead For AMCA’s

BIG SEASON AHEAD FOR AMCAs

Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway promoter Dave Lander announced during the AMCA annual presentation night, Saturday, June 29, the Nationals division is scheduled for appearances at 11 of the 16 fixtures for the 2019-2020 season at his venue.

It promises to be a big upcoming campaign for the local AMCA Nationals Northern NSW contingent as Lander also said there will be a Lismore Speedway 2019-20 season Track Championship for the division. Snap-On Tools local franchise operator Mark Abrahams has come on board as the major track point score AMCA sponsor with first, second and third prizes.

The annual running of the Andrew Walker will be decided on November 16, while the Northern Rivers Classic also is included in the season schedule and is set down for two nights – January 25 and 26. Snap-On Tools will provide a valuable, well equipped socket set to the winner.

“I want to sincerely thank Mark from Snap On Tools for his sponsorship at our venue for next season and I also want to congratulate the trophy winners on the night,” Lander said.

Meanwhile, the annual trophy presentation night, held at the Clydesdale Steak Barn, was well attended.

The Track Champion from the 2018-19 season was Thomas Vickery. Other award recipients for the point score title were runner-up Lewis Gamble, third-placed Paul Reeves, Tim Gamble (fourth) and Aaron Knox (fifth).

Honours in the overall club point score championship went to Lewis Gamble from Paul Reeves and Tony Blanch.

Other trophy winners were: Mitchell Nowlan (Rookie of the Year), Jim Knight (Best and Fairest), Darren Miller (Most Improved & Southern Cross Award winner), Neville Norton (Black Cat Award) and Tim Gamble (Best Presented Car).
