The outcome of the Street Stockers Rumble at Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway was a family affair after Brock Armstrong took the honours from brother Kyle, while Connor Reeves was third.
Round two of the Northern Rivers series was dominated by the Armstrongs and it was Kyle who led from the outset of the 25-lap main event.
Reeves also was prominent but a slight excursion to the infield hampered his forward charge as the race settled down before a yellow light slowed the action following a spin by Rob Grill.
At the restart Kyle Armstong led away but interest was at the top of the field between Kyle and Brock who was placed second at that stage and running strongly.
It was around this time of the race Brendan Hayes hit the fence and a yellow light was thrown.
At the green, action further back in the field focused on Jacob Leisha who was right on the tail of Dave Putsey. Aiden Williams then closed the gap on Rob Grill in some close tussles that made this race an entertaining spectacle. Brock Armstrong then got under Kyle and took over the front running.
Reeves had consolidated his third position as the laps ran down, while Adam Grill held down fourth.
The top four pretty much had the race to themselves in the remaining laps as Brock Armstrong drove to an impressive win followed by Kyle Armstrong and Connor Reeves for the top three podium spots.
The top ten were rounded out by Adam Grill, David Putsey, Robert Grill, Adrian Williams, Toby Hunter, Greg Dickson and Gavin Wade.
Brock Armstrong posted the fastest lap time of the main event after he reached the lead when he stopped the clocks at 17.379 seconds for a speed of 82.859 km/h.
Greg Dickson won two of the earlier Street Stocker heats, while other heat winners were, Brock Armstrong, Adam Grill, Robert Grill and Jacob Leisha.
Overall top three in points after round two are: Reeves (126), Williams (117) and Putsey (113).
Other feature race winners were: Dad Glenn Armstrong (Four Cylinder Sedans), Shane Newstead (AMCAs), Jaiden Santin (Junior Sedans), Trent Martin (Wingless Sprints), Nathan Gordon (Production Sedans).
Attention now turns to next weekend (January 22) at Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway which promises to be one of the big nights of the season when the high flying Monster Trucks take centre stage.
