IF it's not torrential rain that hits the Northern Rivers area, it's COVID-19 and it's the latter this time that has cancelled the Easter weekend two night fixture (April 3 and 4) at Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway.
“Our area has now been declared a 'hot spot' and because of the Brisbane Coronavirus outbreak we cannot get enough competitors, so I have reluctantly been forced to cancel this Easter meeting.
“I also learned today, there are some competitors from Sydney now not coming because of what has happened in Byron with COVID-19. I don't need this and don't know what I am going to do now,” a very distressed David Lander said Wednesday afternoon.
This massive set back has thrown the schedule into chaos.
