GATE ADMISSION COST INCREASE – THE FIRST SINCE 2007

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 13 YEARS promoter David Lander will increase gate admission costs to Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway.

It has been a decision that he has delayed in recent seasons despite the fact that virtually nothing in the outside world is the same price as a decade-plus ago.

“I have given it plenty of thought and it was by no means a hasty decision because I am very mindful of our loyal fans, but increasing general overheads have ultimately forced my mind,” David said.

Another change is the free admission policy for children, which was previously under 12, but will now be under five years of age for a no charge entry.

Kids aged five to 12 will in future be a ten dollar ($10) admission for all fixtures, except the January 1 Monster Truck Spectacular which, for that night only, is $20 for children aged five to 12.

In most cases it's a minimal increase of $5 over the 13 years with the following prices set in place from Boxing Night, December 26 and onward: Adults $30; Pensioner TPI/aged $25; High School Students with ID card $20; Kids 5 - 12 years $10; Kids under 5 free; family pass: 2 adults + two high school students $80; family pass: 2 adults +2 kids 5- 12 years $70.

The December 26 programme will feature the opening round of the Mr Modified series (with support classes).
