The annual V8 Dirt Modified Lord Mayor's Cup will be run and won Saturday night, October 31 at Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway.

To mark the occasion City of Lismore Mayor Isaac Smith will attend to see the 2020 winner receive the Cup.

It's the one particular event that has created its own piece of latter day history at the long running Lismore Showground speedway.

Introduced by current promoter David Lander 14 years ago when he took over the track's operation, the V8 Dirt Modified Lord Mayor's Cup has developed into one of THE races on the seasonal calendar.

“It's terrific to see how this race has progressed and increased in status,” Lander said.

“Despite only being around for just over a decade, it can now rightly take its place in the history of Lismore Speedway as one of the legitimate blue ribbon events and hopefully it will continue for years to come.”

A series of heats will be held before the main event.

Wingless Sprintcars, AMCA Nationals, Production Sedans, Street Stocks, Junior Sedans and National Four Cylinder Sedans are also programmed.

Gates open at 4PM and racing commences at 5:30.

This meeting is governed by COVID-19 restriction regulations of no more than 500 people in attendance.
