THE COMBINATION of a new track surface and incessant heavy rain over the past 24 hours has forced the postponement of the February 20 meeting to the following Saturday night (February 27).
“The place just cannot take any more water,” promoter David Lander said Friday morning after a ground inspection.
“With our new track surface after twenty truck loads of clay were brought in, if we tried to run it now after the heavy rain, it would be a motocross track. Also the grounds are water logged and the upcoming forecast is not promising either.”
So, round ten of the McCosker Super Sedan Series, which was the major attraction for the February 20 fixture, has been put back seven days.
Fortunately, the schedule allows for this important round to be retained for Lismore featuring the top names of the Super Sedan division.
