MONSTER TRUCKS AND MONSTER FIREWORKS HEAD UP FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT NIGHT

MONSTER TRUCKS HEAD UP FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT NIGHT

ALL ROADS LEAD to Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway this Saturday night (January 22) for one of the big nights of family entertainment highlighted with the appearance of Monster Trucks.

It’s one of those special fixtures, where speedway events share the billing with stunts and "sideshow" acts.

Of course, there will be plenty of speedway racing with action provided by AMCA Nationals, Wingless Sprints, Junior Sedans, Production Sedans, Four Cylinder Sedans and lightweight Stockcars.

It will also be a special occasion for the Junior Sedans as the division farewells one of its stand out stars, Zac Brims, 15.

Zac, who turns 16 next February, will embark on a Super Sedan career set to commence at Gympie Speedway soon after his birthday. He will be determined to go out on a winning note this weekend as he says goodbye to Junior Sedans in which he has enjoyed success over the past four seasons at the Lismore Showground.

So, there's plenty on offer this Saturday night, including the “roll over” bike, which is a unique act alone, and to add to the evening, there will be a massive fireworks display.

The content of the entire programme is clearly one of the biggest of the season.

“We have a bit of everything,” promoter David Lander said this week.

“For our regular speedway fans, they will have their usual racing programme, but for those people who like to go to a speedway meeting  to see something different, the Monster Trucks always will deliver. They will go through all of their usual stunts and routines that make these big machines such a family favourite.”

There will be two Monster Trucks performing, highlighted with a car crunching display.

Queensland’s Robbie Stephenson is the man bringing the Monster Trucks to the Lismore Showground venue and his company also will provide the spectacular fireworks display.

Just to add even more to this night, Nathan “Daredevil” Harper will ride, drive – or be pushed – through a wall of flame in an act that has to be seen to be believed.

It's all happening this Saturday night (January 22) at Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway.

Gates open at 4PM and racing commences at 5:30.
