TWO CONSECUTIVE 2022 WEEKEND DOUBLE HEADERS TO ROUND OUT SEASON

BY DENNIS NEWLYN

Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway race fans can look forward to two bumper long weekends of action late April to conclude the 2021-2022 season.

The season features a rare calendar date occurrence with consecutive holiday weekends.

It all starts on April 16 and 17 when the Easter V8 Dirt Modified Nationals will be decided.

The Easter break preludes the Anzac Day long weekend the following week the way 2022 falls.

The April 24-25 fixtures will be highlighted with the running of the 2022 New South Wales Dirt Modified Championship set for April 24.

For V8 Dirt Modified drivers it represents a unique opportunity to contest five fixtures in 16 days.

Lismore promoter Dave Lander is delighted to now include the important NSW V8 Dirt Modified Championship as part of this end-of-season busy racing schedule.

“The calendar falls perfectly for the V8 Dirt Modified contingent,” David said.

“The way it works out, V8 Dirt Modified drivers from the south as far as Victoria who want to head north can pick up our two long weekend shows and then just hop across the border for the Queensland V8 Dirt Modified Championship the next week.”

The annual Easter fixture also marks the running of the NSW Compact Speedcar Championship which will be run on Sunday, April 17.

Supporting the NSW V8 Dirt Modified Championship will be the Northern Rivers Street Stock Championship over the two nights (April 23-24).
