A pre-season practice night will be held at Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway on Saturday, October 16 commencing at 5PM.

The practice, which is open to all categories, will conclude at 9PM.

With such a big season planned featuring all the major and support divisions that run at the venue, a practice session presents the ideal opportunity to get cars back on track and tune up for the season opener on November 6 featuring the annual V8 Dirt Modified Lord Mayor's Cup.

Promoter David Lander has put together a very impressive 2021-2022 calendar pending the easing of COVID restrictions next month.

“I am certainly hoping restrictions will be lifted and we're out of lock down even before October 16,” David said.

At this time it's anticipated in the remaining time frame before October 16 and, with continually increased vaccination percentages throughout the state, it will ensure outdoor sports can again be held with more freedom for the community.

“I do hope competitors take advantage of the practice night to ensure we get the season off to a good start a few weeks later. I have put a lot of time and planning into next season's calendar to give our very loyal race fans some top flight speedway entertainment," David added.

V8 Dirt Modifieds, Wingless Sprintcars, 410 Sprintcars, Super Sedans, Late Model Sedans, Modified Sedans and Production Sedans headline the respective major attractions, while all of the regular support categories are assured of regular racing during the term.

A standout highlight of the upcoming season will be January 12, 2022 when the World Series Sprintcars travelling road show hauls into the historic Lismore Showground for a round of its national series.
