SANTA Claus makes a very early appearance at Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway on kids' pre-Christmas party night, Saturday, November 28.

The racing side of the programme will feature the annual running of “The Dream” Production Sedan main event, while there also will be events for Wingless Sprints, Street Stocks, Junior Sedans and National Four Cylinder Sedans.

SANTA will join in the fun of the night's activities and might just even be persuaded to cut some laps in a speedway car as he fancies himself as a racing driver!

“This is more than just a speedway meeting, it's our annual fun night that is devoted to the kids ahead of Christmas and I just hope the COVID-19 restrictions are eased later this month, so that we can present in full what is one of our most popular family entertainment nights of our season,” promoter David Lander said.

There will be kids' push bike races, a special wheelie bin event – titled the Wheelie Bin GP – with participants pushing wheelie bins to the chequered flag.

The Wheelie Bin race has the makings of being an epic. The participants will involve racing representatives from Wingless, Street Stocks, Production Sedans, two RSA Four Cylinder Sedan categories, Junior Sedans and AMCAs.

Kids must not only bring their push bike but also protective head gear in order to be eligible to compete.

Saturday night, November 28 will certainly be a fun occasion at the venue.

Public admission gate/s open at 4PM and racing commences at 5:30PM.
