IT'S SHOW TIME at Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway as the venue approaches the December-January busiest part of the season.

It will almost be a case of when too much racing is hardly enough as the big shows are rolled out, commencing on December 26 (Boxing Night) with the annual opening round of the Mr Modified Series.

That is the perfect springboard into more high time action – and the January holiday racing carnival pinnacle when the historic Lismore Showground Speedway presents five meetings between January 11 and January 26.

It's the biggest part of the season and David Lander has added the Speedweek component into the January 11, 14 , 18 dates as a high profile promotion for the mainstream media.

“It's the time of the season we all look forward to,” Lander enthused.

“I want to ensure our very dedicated Lismore race fans, and out of town speedway enthusiasts, will have plenty to look forward to over the Christmas-New year period at our venue. Obviously the return of the World Series Sprintcar Championship (January 14) will be the jewel in the crown as far as our speedweek promotion is concerned.”

World Series Sprintcars has again attracted the big names of Australian sprintcar racing for the 2019-2020 season championship trail, while the overseas invasion is headed by Pennsylvania's Lucas Wolfe.

But before reaching January 14 there is plenty to like in the earlier fixtures.

December 26 (Boxing Night) promises to be a boomer as the V8 Dirt Modifieds contest their opening round of the Mr Modified series.

Since Lander took over as promoter of Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway some years ago, he has worked hard at developing the Mr Modified series as a status event.

He has achieved that objective and it is now one of the most important tournaments in east coast V8 Dirt Modified racing.

The highly spectacular, super fast, wheel hiking V8 Dirt Modifieds will contest the final round of the Mr Modified Series on January 11 before a further two January appearances (January 25 and 26).

On those dates the V8 Dirt Modifieds will race for honours in the two-night Australia Day Cup.

It will be a very busy time for V8 Dirt Modifieds at Lismore between December 26 and January 26.

In addition to the WSS show and the major V8 Dirt Modified events, there will also be the running of the two night Northern Rivers Classic (January 25, 26) for AMCA Nationals and the Northern Rivers Junior Sedan Championship (January 18).

Just for even more variety, there will be a bash and crash demolition derby on January 18.
