THE BIG SHOWS KEEP COMING

Two block buster race dates - January 9 and 12 - will highlight the high time of the 2020-21 season at Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway.
The spectacular, wheel hiking V8 Dirt Modifieds and the return of Midget-Speedcar racing will be the major attraction on January 9
while just three days later the 410 V8 Sprintcars strut their stuff with their own spectacular brand of high speed action.
It's a speed feast promoter David Lander put in place several months earlier in his pre-season planning and is an example of his long time
pledge to provide high quality racing and family entertainment at his venue.
"These are potentially two wonderful meetings and run at the best time of the season. January is all about making the most of the
Christmas-New Year holiday time when people are looking for a good night out and these two meetings offer plenty for our loyal fans."
It's a big night for the V8 Dirt Modifieds when the final of the annual Mr Modified Series will be decided.
It all comes down to a 40-lap main event and there's no doubt opening round winner on Boxing Night Mitch Randall will enter the final as
a favourite if his earlier form serves as a guide.
But a strong entry list will ensure Randall does not have things his own way.
Speedcars will also contest heats and a feature race with a number of stars from the Queensland Speedcar Racing Association (QSRA) nominated for the Lismore fixture.
Then on January 12 the penultimate round of the Super Seven Sprintcar Series will be held.
This two-state tournament has been well received and with only one round remaining after Lismore (January 16 at Toowoomba)
the points chase will be on in earnest as the teams contest the Lismore round.
Twenty six nominations have been received for round six in the series which has been put together with the co-operation of Sprintcars Queensland and Speedway Australia.
In addition to Lismore and Toowoomba venues, the series also involves rounds at Brisbane's Archerfield Speedway and Maryborough Speedway.
