WET WEATHER CANCELS AGP FOR THIS SATURDAY MARCH 20

THE 70th running of the Australian Speedcar Grand Prix has been cancelled due to the relentless wet weather.

Lismore and surrounding areas have copped a pounding,  especially in the past week, and promoter David Lander has decided to make an early call on the meeting.

He also did this in consideration for some people travelling a long distance to attend the fixture.

“The track has no hope of being ready for the meeting as it's saturated and we cannot properly even get on it to try and fix it. Also, more heavy rain is predicted in Lismore so it's best to make an early call for everyone, including those who will be on the road in the next day or so,” he said.

At this stage it now seems unlikely the AGP will be held this season.
